You Are Popping Champagne Over A Counterfeit Seal of Approval – Odimayo Slams Aiyedatiwa Over Reported Endorsement

Omo’ba Jimi Odimayo has responded to the recent claim by the Aiyedatiwa campaign team that his supporters pledged their political allegiance to the gubernatorial aspirations of Governor Aiyedatiwa.

Odimayo dismissed the claim as insignificant and laughable, stating that his widespread support within Irele local government and beyond remains strong and unshaken.

The incoming governor emphasized that his supporters who have been with him from the start are still resolute and unwavering, and called on Aiyedatiwa and his team to look for endorsements from other local governments, boasting that 95% of the people in his local government still support him and that their support is non-negotiable.

According to Odimayo, the recent endorsement ceremony by some individuals should be seen as a strategic manoeuvre rather than a reflection of widespread support.

He emphasized that true grassroots support often speaks louder than transient alliances and that his widespread support in Irele local government underscores the enduring faith and trust placed in his leadership.

Odimayo described his widespread support within Irele local government and Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency as a testament to his deep-rooted connection and service to the people. He added that he has the needed political stalwarts and results-oriented APC members in his team who are working tirelessly to deliver victory for his gubernatorial aspirations in the Saturday primary election.

He urged Aiyedatiwa and his team not to rejoice because carrying members of the APC have confidence in his leadership to fly the party’s ticket in the Saturday primaries, reiterating that his chances of securing the APC ticket are not in doubt and that all preparatory measures have been put in place with the assurance of the people ahead of the primaries.

Odimayo emphasizes the enduring trust of the people as the driving force behind Ondo State’s future leadership, thanking supporters across the state for their unwavering dedication and reaffirming his readiness for the upcoming primaries
