In a bid to make the state clean, the Ekiti State government has partnered with a private company known as DEBCOM Waste Managers as part of efforts in enhancing its PSP attainments.
The organisation assumed duties with its working tools, including Garbage Compactor Trucks worth millions of naira and corresponding staff
Showing its commitment of purpose, the representative of WEBCOM Waste Managers Mr. Peter Olofin said Webcom Waste Managers is a company collaborating with Ekiti State Waste Management Authority to keep Ekiti clean.
He reiterated that the company will work assiduously with the Ministry of Environment to keep Ekiti clean and ensure a cleaner society.
Receiving the organisation, the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources Chief (Mrs) Tosin Aluko-Ajisafe, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary , Mr Babatunde Alokan as well as other management team of the Ministry thanked the Governor Biodun Abayomi-led administration in Ekiti for its commitment to keeping Ekiti clean.
The commissioner lauded the efforts of the organisation and promised to assist them in creating a conducive working environment in ensuring to keep Ekiti clean and epidemic free.
She called on the citizens and other stakeholders in the state to support the efforts of the state government towards ensuring the proper waste management and disposal across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state.
