Reps Member, Jimi Odimayo Hosts Constituency Briefing, Promises To Facilitate 100 Employment Opportunities for Youths Before 2027

As part of his commitment to the stewardship of the mandate entrusted to him in the 2023 general elections, the Member representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Omo’ba Okunjimi Odimayo, yesterday hosted constituents from across the twenty-three wards of the constituency at Idepe Town Hall, Okitipupa.
In his address, Odimayo expressed gratitude to his constituents for their unwavering support and seized the moment to extend Easter greetings to the entire members of the constituency.
The lawmaker pledged to facilitate at least hundred (100) employment opportunities for youths in Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency before June 2027.
Furthermore, the lawmaker highlighted his achievements over the past twenty-two months, which include: the construction of a 1KM Sabomi/Olowofoyekun Road in Ode-Irele; a 1KM Igbisin-Oloto Road in Okitipupa; borehole projects in Liseri Camp, Ode-Irele, and Iju Oke Oja, Ilutitun; the establishment of a solar-powered modern medical laboratory centre in Ode-Irele; a six-block classroom at Arerin Grammar School, Ode-Irele; and a greenhouse in Okitipupa.
He also noted the grading of rural roads from Atoranse Junction to Ogunmola Village, Gboroye Oko, Eletu, and Ilutitun Village in Ode Irele; the installation of over 1,000 solar streetlights across the constituency; facilitation of employment for 32 constituents into the National Population Commission (NPC), National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and Nigeria Police Force; as well as the sponsorship of seven legislative bills.
The lawmaker highlighted several ongoing projects, including the installation of 233 solar streetlights across Okitipupa Local Government, with plans underway for an additional 3KM stretch.
He also unveiled key projects in the pipeline, such as the construction and remodeling of Idepe Town Hall, a 5KM road project, a new hospital, a N500 million electricity reconnection contract, and federal employment slots for 20 more graduates.
Additionally, the lawmaker is providing sixty six (66) motorcycles, hundred (100) sewing machines, and seventy seven (77) grinding machines to constituents.
He thereafter flagged off the construction and remodeling of Idepe Town Hall, adding that a 25-ward hospital will be flagged off in Ode-Irele on Saturday, 19th April 2025.
The lawmaker called on constituents to exercise patience, reassuring them that he is committed to working tirelessly to guarantee fairness in the distribution of the dividends of democracy.
Following the constituency briefing, Odimayo commissioned a solar-powered greenhouse in Okitipupa Local Government. During the event, Chief Wole Akeremale, who guided the lawmaker through the facility, highlighted that the project would play a significant role in promoting food sufficiency across the constituency, adding that it would also be beneficial for practical learning for students in the Faculty of Agriculture at any institution.
Earlier, the Chairman of the APC in Okitipupa Local Government, Hon. Bode Ikulala, expressed appreciation to Odimayo for his giant strides in delivering quality representation. His counterpart in Irele Local Government, Chief Z. A. Omoge, also lauded the lawmaker for being proactive in fulfilling the mandate given to him.
The Executive Chairman of Irele Local Government, Hon. Olajide Akinfe, stated that “one good turn deserves another.” He commended Omo’ba Okunjimi Odimayo for his remarkable achievements and impactful leadership.
Equally, Hon. Sehinde Aduwo stated that Odimayo has consistently given back to the constituents. He then listed the numerous projects and programmes Omo’ba Okunjimi Odimayo has implemented, describing them as commendable.
In the same vein, His Royal Highness, Oba Festus Olumoyegun, the Oniju of Iju, commended Omo’ba Okunjimi Odimayo, praising the overwhelming positive feedback from the people and encouraged him to continue his outstanding work for the betterment of the constituents.
Famous Biripo vocalist, Chief Omotola Emaye praised Odimayo for consistently living up to expectations. He expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for his substantial support towards the Abusoro Town Hall Project in Idepe.
