Police Arrest Mother For Hiring Thugs To Beat Teacher Who Stopped Son from Cheating During WAEC Exam

The Ondo State police command said it has arrested one Mrs Dorcas Asije for allegedly mobilizing thugs to beat a teacher who prevented his son from cheating during the ongoing WASSCE examination.

RAYOPOST had reported that the Vice Principal of Complete Child Development Centre Akure was attacked by hoodlums after collecting an android phone from the woman’s son during the examination.

It was learned that the woman was angered by the teacher’s actions and subsequently mobilized thugs to attack the teacher.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Ayanlade Olayinka said the woman and the suspected who attacks the teacher have been arrested.

According to him, ” Following the assault on the Vice Principal of Complete Child Development Centre Akure, the Ondo State Police Command has arrested Mrs. Dorcas Asije and four other accomplices.

” Acting on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) led a tactical team to ensure their swift arrest. The case has been transferred to SCID and will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.

” The public is advised to remain law-abiding and report suspicious activity to the nearest police station.”
