Ondo Reps Member, Festus Adefiranye Wins Outstanding Lawmaker of the Year Award

Federal lawmaker representing Ileoluji Okeigbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Festus Adefiranye has been honoured with the prestigious Award of Outstanding Lawmaker of the Year. The award was organised by the prestigious Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria.

 

The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Olamide Oladiji, was also honoured alongside Adefiranye at the event held in Akure on Sunday.

 

While receiving the award, Hon. Adefiranye expressed his appreciation to the event organisers for taking time to dig into his records of achievement since he became a member of the National Assembly in 2023.

 

Meanwhile, the lawmaker expressed profound gratitude for the honour bestowed upon him, describing it as a testament to the recognition of his contributions and dedication to public service.

 

He noted that such an acknowledgement serves as a clear indication of the value placed on diligence, commitment, and the pursuit of excellence in legislative and societal responsibilities.

Speaking further, he listed his numerous achievements in the 10th Assembly as a motion for the Renovation and Dualisation of Akure-Ondo-Ore Road, which has been approved by the President, and contractors are already mobilized at Lasia in Odigbo Local Government; Bill for the Establishment of the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Okeigbo: The bill has successfully passed through the House and is currently in the Senate, awaiting final assent by Mr. President; Construction of a 4km Road within the Federal Constituency: Projects include Ita-Are Street in Okeigbo, Skyway Street in Ile-oluji, Kings Emmanuel College Road, and Rainbow Street in Ore.

 

The Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, Adebayo Lawrence, in a statement said, the Federal lawmaker also listed the Training and Workshop of All Obas and Traditional Rulers In Ileoluji/Okeigbo & Odigbo Federal Constituency on Security; Construction of Blocks of Classrooms at AUD Primary School, Kajola: This project is currently ongoing; Distribution of Solar Street Lights: Enhancing safety and security within the constituency; Flag-off Construction of One Per Ward Borehole: This project, aimed at providing clean water, is currently ongoing across the federal constituency; Distribution of Fertilisers: Supporting local agriculture and boosting food production.

Looking ahead to 2025, Hon. Adefiranye promises a year full of human and infrastructural development, further solidifying his commitment to the growth and prosperity of his constituency.

Additionally, he celebrated other notable leaders awarded in different categories, including Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde (aka Abena), Executive Director of Corporate Affairs at NDDC, Prince Ebenezer Adeniran CPS to Mr Governor and others.
