The Ondo State Government has set up a five-man committee to investigate and probe the current financial status of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo.
The government in a letter addressed to the Rector, dated April 23, 2025 and signed by the Commissioner for Finance, Mrs Omowumi Isaac, noted that the decision followed the series of financial requests to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa by the polytechnic management.
The commissioner in the letter obtained by RAYOPOST said the five-man committee includes Alhaji Muda’ Adegbeha (Chairman), Mr. Bodunwa Olorunfemi (Member) , Mrs Abimbola Oniyi(Member), Mrs Idowu Temilade (Member) and Mr Moses Ogunbiyi (Secretary).
The letter reads, ” To this end, a five-member committee has been put in place. The Committee’s Terms of Reference include: to examine the current institution’s subvention, finances, revenue, salaries, recurrent expenditures and other related matters that it may deem fit to consider.
” The import of this letter is to inform you that in the course of carrying out its duties, the committee will require access to relevant financial records, documents and information.
” I kindly request that you accord the committee members utmost recognitions and cooperation. Your support and assistance will enable them to discharge their responsibilities effectively and efficiently.”
