Ondo 2024 : Young Women Declare Support for Jimi Odimayo’s Guber Ambition 

 

 

In the vibrant political landscape of Ondo State in 2024, a powerful wave of support is surging among young women across the eighteen (18) local governments in Ondo State, rallying behind the charismatic figure of Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial primaries.

“As the political atmosphere intensifies, the enthusiasm and energy of these young women have become a driving force, shaping the narrative of the upcoming elections as they converge in different locations across the local governments in the state today”.

Within Akoko South East Local Government, Mrs. Ayodele Funmilayo, the Coordinator of the Young Women’s Forum, affirmed unwavering support for Hon. Odimayo. She is dedicated to persistently persuading both party executives and the public to unite in support of Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo during the impending primaries.

The Young Women for Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo in Odigbo local government led by Mrs Akinsete Ayomiposi reaffirmed their unwavering support for Hon. Odimayo in the upcoming gubernatorial primaries. Unified in their commitment, the women aimed to contribute actively to Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo’s gubernatorial aspiration, embracing a shared vision for a promising future under his leadership.

The Irele Local Government Chapter of the forum led by Miss Lijoka Adesewa emphatically reiterated their steadfast backing for Hon. Odimayo in the upcoming gubernatorial primaries. Furthermore, these dedicated young women extended their outreach to the maternity centre at Ode Irele Primary Health Centre, garnering support from pregnant women who, in turn, offered prayers for Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo’s success in the forthcoming gubernatorial aspirations.

Equally, Akoko South West, Akoko North East, Akoko North West, Okitipupa, Ile Oluji/Oke Igbo, Owo, Ose, Akure South, Ilaje and Idanre coordinators of the forum expressed confidence that the victory of Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo in the upcoming primaries would be unprecedented.

The women promised to work across the wards in their respective local governments to mobilise more party faithful to Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo ahead of the April primary.

Mrs. Omoaye Queen Khadijat, the Owo Local Government Coordinator actively seeks collaboration from the ward coordinators within the local government for Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo. Stressing Hon. Jimi’s competence, eligibility, and dependability, she advocated for grassroots involvement to secure a decisive victory in the upcoming primary election. Grateful on behalf of the incoming governor, Mrs. Omoaye pledges ongoing support and believes in the women’s capability to achieve significant outcomes.

Mrs Ipinsokan Oluyosola, Mrs Ayetoba Toyin Josephine, Mrs Toyin Asagunla, Mrs Ipinsagba Kehind, Mrs Ayodele Funmilayo, Mrs Sonibare Temitope Comfort, representing Okitipupa, Ilaje, Akoko North West, Akoko North East, Akoko South East, and Ile Oluji/Oke-Igbo, respectively, advocated for collaborative efforts among ward coordinators to ensure widespread awareness of Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo’s aspirations throughout their respective local governments.

Mrs Adam Fafiyat, the Ondo East CoCoordinatornd her counterpart in Ondo West, Mrs Oyedele Bolajoko further emphasized their commitment to Hon. Odimayo’s gubernatorial ambition stressing that they would leave no stone untouched to surpass men’s mobilization for the incoming governor as APC primary election approaches.

The women praised Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo for prioritizing women in his agenda as he prepared to assume the highest position in the state.
