Ondo State’s prominent gubernatorial hopeful, Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo, has extended his campaign efforts to Akoko North-East and North-West Local Government, seeking support from APC executives while pledging to bolster the agricultural sector by mechanizing it to 80% emphasizing the importance of economic growth.
In his address, Odimayo outlined his commitment to declaring a state of emergency in the health sector, specifically addressing the prevalence of high blood pressure in Ondo State. He also expressed his belief that God has ordained him as the next governor, urging the people to join him in fulfilling the shared aspirations of the state.
Grateful for the unwavering support of the people in the two local governments, the philanthropist thanked his supporters and APC chieftains in the meeting emphasizing the divine backing he perceived.
Reacting, Akoko North East APC Chairman, Hon. Imam Saliu Mumuni Olanrewaju, commended Hon. Odimayo’s courage and entrepreneurial experience, envisioning his potential to elevate Ondo State.
Similarly, Mr. Obanla Kehinde, the APC Chairman for Akoko North-West local government, expressed how the endorsement of Omo’oba Jimi Odimayo by the people has revitalized both his enthusiasm and that of his executives. He thereafter assured Odimayo of their prayers and support throughout the race.
Notable leaders in both local governments in attendance during the meeting were; Mrs Balogun Christinah, Hon. Oladele Delac, Chief Lamina Olabinjo Olamilekun, the Alako of Ode, Ikare, Chief Oladetohun Gbenga Sehinde, Ilese of Ese, Chief Ojo Babajide John, Olisa of Ilepa, Hon. Orisaniyi Olabisi, the Women Leader of APC in Akoko North-West local government, Mrs Cecilia Abubakar among other prominent stakeholders.
The incoming governor was accompanied to the event by prominent political leaders including the former commissioner for Women’s Affairs and social development in Ondo State, Hon. Olayinka Alabi, Hon. Stephen Olowodasa, Hon. Kayode Abiodun, Barr. Olutayo Babalayo, Mrs. Olabimpe Akinyemi among others.
