The convener of the Aiyedatiwa Youths and Students Support Group, Omotayo Olibamoyo on Saturday met with contingents of youths and students stakeholders across the state to drum support for the ambition of the governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa ahead of the November 16 governorship election in Ondo state.
The meeting , held at the popular Senior Staff Club Akure, the state capital had in attendance notable youths and students leaders across the state.
The meeting was an avenue for the attendees to speak of the antecedents of the governor as a youth friendly leader whose credentials speak volume.
Speaking at the meeting, Olibamoyo commended the youth and students for their presence , said the governor in the last few weeks has proven to be a leader who is passionate and committed to the welfare of the people.
He said, ” I want to seize this privilege to appreciate your coming to this meeting .Let me remind all of us that we have called this meeting to brainstorm on the state of our state , especially the aspiration of Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa,the Executive Governor Of Ondo State.
” This meeting is necessary to enable us share our ideas and channel our energies towards the aspiration of Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa come 2024 Guber polls.
” Aiyedatiwa has proven beyond doubt that he’s a true leader of the people.Within this period,he has paid pension arrears to pensioners, ordered the payment of 2017 salary owed Civil Servants in the state , ongoing completion of major road projects in the state and illumination of cities and towns by installing street lights across the state.
” Worthy of mention is the attempt to address the Ocean surge challenge facing the people of Ayetoro ,a community in the Southern part of the state.”
The youth and students stakeholders at the meeting agreed to throw their weight behind the governor and never to sit on the fence as the state chooses its leader in the forthcoming election.
