The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate for Okitipupa Local Government Area, Andrew Soga Ogunsakin visited the Okitipupa main market, recently ravaged by a fire outbreak.

The candidate sympathized with affected traders, many of whom lost their goods and livelihoods in the incident, and assured them of immediate support.

During his visit, Ogunsakin promised to work with relevant authorities to provide relief materials and financial assistance to the victims.

He also emphasized the need for drastic measures to ensure a swift recovery process and prevent similar incidents in the future.

While addressing the traders, he encouraged them to maintain proper sanitation practices within the market.

He stressed that a clean and organized environment not only promotes health but also helps in preventing fire outbreaks and other hazards.

The victims expressed gratitude for the candidate’s visit and assurance of support.

They shared their challenges and called for urgent government intervention to restore their livelihoods.

The fire outbreak, which occurred earlier in the week, destroyed goods worth millions of naira, leaving many traders devastated.

Whilst investigation into the cause of the fire outbreak is ongoing, the candidate’s visit has offered renewed hope and assurance to the affected traders.
