No Subscriber of ‘Jomav Homes & Properties’ Affected by Ondo Court’s Judgement —Company’s Lawyer

• Insists Disputed Plots Not Yet Allocated To Any Subscriber

The Jomav  Homes and Properties Nigeria Limited, an estate developer, has assured its clients, existing and prospective subscribers at the Sunshine Park and Gardens, Ondo Road, Akure that their landed properties are secure and protected, as recent Ondo state High court’s judgment on a disputed 33plots of land does not affect any of them.

It is recalled that Justice D. I. Kolawole of the Ondo State High Court, Akure  ruled in favour of one Kayode Ekun and two others against the Jomav Home and Property Nigeria Limited over 33plots of land and awarded N7 million as damages to be paid to the claimants.

However reacting to the verdict delivered on 30th May, 2025, the Group Head of Legal department of the Jomav Homes and Properties Nigeria Limited, Miss Ibiwumi Alade, said that the company had not in time sold or allocated the affected portion to its subscribers.

Alade told newsmen in Akure on Monday that the estate developers’ company did not sell or allocate the affected portion of the land to its subscribers or any land buyer due to the litigation on the 33plots

She added that the company has over 5,000 plots of undisputed land which are being developed without any litigation.

Alade said, “the portion in contention is just a fragment of the estate land, having 33 plots and the whole land we have there is over 5,000 plots.

“Immediately, they started their case, we left the affected portion, which is just about 33 plots untouched and separated it from others that we are dealing with.

“So as it is, we want to tell our clients and potential ones that their  plots are there and secure, nothing happens to the plots and the judgement does not affect the land we are selling or that we have allocated to our subscribers in this Sunshine Park and Gardens,” she said.

According to her, the company’s  clients’ interests are well protected because the company has its  subscribers at heart since people rely on the company to have land as a means of livelihood on its own.

She noted that the company had put some measures in place to protect its subscribers  ‘since we are not oblivious that something like this may come up.’

Alade noted that the company would always tread on the path of peace to ensure that its visions of giving people access to shelter was achieved.

“Our vision is to make peace and make a living possible for people; as a company , we have right to appeal the judgment and we have the right not to appeal because it’s just a fragment of the land, 33 plots compared to over 5,000 plots that we have there.

“We are saying again to our subscribers that they should be calm, no need for alarm; we have their interests protected. We are always there to protect them,” Alade said.
