ISCRC Demands Removal of OOPC MD Over Alleged Corrupt Practices

The Ikale Supreme Civil Rights Council (ISCRC) has called for the removal of Mr. Taiwo Adewole as the Managing Director of Okitipupa Oil Palm Company Plc, over alleged corrupt practices.

 

The spokesman of ISCRC, Orimisan Adelokiki in a statement on Sunday explained that the group was determined to expose all corrupt practices in the interest of the people and the land owners in the communities.

 

The MD had in a response to the group’s allegations yesterday said the company has fulfilled all its obligations to the landowners with plans already underway to impact the communities through its Corporate Social Responsibility committee.

 

But Adelokiki on behalf of the community rights group said the emergence of Mr Adewole was unknown and embarrassing to the historical struggle in Ikaleland.

 

He said, ” The Regime is full of corrupt practices and we demand immediate sack of Mr Taiwo Adewole; ISCRC insist on immediate removal of as MD of OOPC .

” The process of his emergence as CEO of OOPC is against the establishment principle of Joint partnership of OOPC in 31st March 1954.

” The process of selling shares of land owners without the consent of the landowners is criminal, and embarrassing to cooperate governance that guide operational practices of OOPC PLC.

” The land owners insist that their probe into the OOPC management was provoked through many complaints from communities Licencee that were allegedly defrauded

” Those whose land were donated for the establishment of this company despite the company making billions every year yet Nothing to show for it.Those representatives of landowners are also complaining of how they are being treated with utmost disrespect.

” We will demand from the MD where is the agreement OOPC signed with our ancestors when they release the land for the establishment of this company and what was the general business principles
basis upon which your management transacts business with the land owners.

 

” Why are you afraid of having an engagement on the land of Ikale where you make billions every year,despite written us On 22nd of December 2024 willing to Engage ?
