In recognition of his selfless contributions to society and humanity in general, the management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti(FUOYE) has concluded plans to award the Vice Chancellor’s Meritorious Award to lawyer and philanthropist, Barrister Yemi Ayodele Ayeni.
The FUOYE Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mufutau Ibrahim in a letter addressed to Ayeni and dated January 31,2025, said that the lawyer would be decorated alongside other personalities on Thursday, 20 February, 2025, as part of event marking the 9th convocation ceremony of the university.
The university said the lawyer for his untiring contributions and impacts on the people, including serving as a role model, he would be given the award of Outstanding Performance in Youth and Community Development.
The letter reads, ” As an illustrious person and an exemplary leader in the contemporary Nigeria with positive impacts on the lives of the vast majority of people, as well as serving as a role model of emulation to the young people through your enormous contributions to the growth of the society, the University Management desires to confer on your highly esteemed self, a Special Meritorious Service Award of Outstanding Performance in Youth and Community Development.
” Your distinguished presence would be highly appreciated as an Awardee.”
