The Federal Government has inaugurated the newly constituted Governing Council of the Federal University Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin Ekiti.
The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa conducted the inauguration in his office in Abuja on Tuesday which was attended by the Senate leader and lawmaker representing Ekiti Central senatorial district, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele.
Others in attendance were: Mr Emmanuel Emefienin; Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Aribisala Olugbenga; Pro Chancellor, Sen. Binta Garba; Sen. Tokunbo Afikuyomi; Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaye; Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad and Akogun Olanrewaju Adesuyi.
It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu had recently announced the constitution of the governing council following the signing into law the bill establishing the institution which was sponsored by Senator Bamidele.
