The family of the late Dr Paul Akintelure of Igbotako, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo state has appreciated the state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa for attending the funeral of their son and patriarch.
Babatunde Akintelure (Lemon) in a statement on Sunday said, ” On behalf of myself and the Akintelure family of Igbotako, I extend our profound appreciation to His Excellency Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his esteemed presence at the church programme held on May 3 for the funeral of our late patriarch, Otunba (Dr) Paul Akintelure, who passed on to glory on March 26, 2024.
” The family is equally grateful to your entourage and members of the Ondo State Executive Council who came to pay their last respects to Dr Akintelure.
” Your Excellency, Sir, no doubt, your presence at the church service and the message of hope you delivered during your brief but moving remarks helped lighten our pensive mood occasioned by the sudden transition of Otunba Akintelure.
” Dr Akintelure may have transitioned to the other side of the divide, but those of us he left behind will continue to sustain his legacies of honesty, hard work, commitment to community development, and much more, just as Your Excellency admonished us to be comforted by the beautiful and profound impacts he created while alive.
” Once again, we are grateful to Your Excellency, and we pray that your reign as the Governor of our dear state should continue to bring peace, stability, development and progress to the people. The state is, indeed, lucky to have you at this material time.”
