EKSU Pensioners Seek Oyebanji’s Intervention for Release of Kidnapped Ex-Deputy VC

• As 80-Year-Old Victim Remains In Captivity Two Weeks After Abduction In Ado-Ekiti

 

 

The Nigeria Universities Pensioners Association (NUPA) Ekiti State University Chapter has appealed to Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the security agencies to help without further delay in securing the release of the kidnapped former deputy vice chancellor of the university ,Professor Olorunfemi Olaofe.

 

Olaofe, a professor of chemistry was kidnapped in his residence located in the Housing Estate in Ado-Ekiti , the state capital penultimate Tuesday and the abductors have failed to release him.

 

The Publicity Secretary,Nigerian Universities Pensioners(NUPA) Ekiti State University Chapter, High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi in a statement said Chairman of the Universities Pensioners, EKSU chapter, Chief S.B Akinwale made the appeal shortly after an emergency meeting of the Executive of the association.

” Professor Olaofe has not been seen for weeks now after his disappearance from his Ado Ekiti residence.

” Chief Adewale further urged members of the public to join the Association in giving useful information about the aged former Deputy Vice Chancellor whereabouts,” he said.
