Ekiti Govt Announces Major Traffic Diversion Over Construction of Second Flyover 

The Ekiti state Government has announced a major traffic diversion in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital over the commencement of second flyover project in the state.

 

The administration of Biodun Oyebanji has revealed plans to construct a fly over from Ijigbo  to Okeiyinmi axis of the state capital.

 

 

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Alhaji Gani Titilope in a statement said that the diversion was necessary to avoid gridlock and avoidable accident.

 

The statement reads, ” Good people of Ekiti state. It is no more news that the construction of the flyover phase 2 is about to commence.

 

” The State Government has therefore declared a traffic diversion as follows to minimize traffic gridlocks, prevent avoidable accidents and check undue interference in construction works.

 

” 1. Traffic flow from Akure/Ikere road to divert through Agric Olope to Odo Ado to Poly Road to Oke-Ila to Afao road, Okuta Gbokuta to Stadium, Okeisha, Dallimore road.

 

” 2. Traffic movement from Fajuyi/Okeisha route to go through the First Baptist Church (Adunni Olayinka drive) to Atikankan en route Oke-Bola to Little-by-Little Plaza/Access bank Ajilosun through Kay Kalax Hotel.

 

” 3. Traffic from Ilawe road to Ikere road axis is diverted through Irona/Ekute to Mobil Ajilosun or Irona to Oke-Bola to Little-By-Little Plaza/Access Bank, Ajilosun by Kay Kalax Hotel.

 

” 4. Post office to King’s market becomes a two way drive.

” Motorists, motorcyclists and other road users are enjoined to exercise patience and obey traffic rules in the interest of all.

” All inconveniences are regretted.”
