Ahead of the 2026 Governorship election in Ekiti State, the appointed chairmen and members of board, agencies and parastatals of government have announced a date to formally endorse Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and his deputy , Chief Monisade Afuye for a second term in office.
According to a statement signed by High Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo, the chairman of Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency, who is the chairman for contact and mobilisation committee for the programme, said all Chairmen and boards members of commissions and Agencies are expected to attend the event slated for Wednesday 25th of June, at Fajuyi Pavalion by 10am.
Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo said the decision of the appointees to back the governor for second term in office was based on his visible achievements in the areas of security, education, health, road infrastructure, rural development, agriculture, economic and social investments across the state.
The statement added that, since the assumption of office of Mr. ‘Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji his humility, accessibility, generousity and ability to bring political leaders together across political parties boundaries in the state, are highly commendable and worthwhile to be supported for re-election.
Chief Oguntoyinbo who said accreditation of Chairmen and boards members will take place in the venue, appealed to all appointees to turn up in large numbers to attend the programme.
Other important dignitaries expected to grace the occasion are APC Party leaders, members of the state executive Council, Rt Hon Speaker,and his members in the house of assembly, and members of ALGON Ekiti State and Local government executive members.
