The Chairman and CEO of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has named the road to the Dangote Refinery Herbert Wigwe Road.
Dangote said that part of the 120km refinery road, the biggest road will be now named “Herbert Wigwe,”
He said that he named the road after Wigwe so that “people will see this road leading to the refinery and would find out who was this Herbert Wigwe.“
In February, Wigwe who was the CEO of Access Holdings died alongside his wife and son in a helicopter crash in California, the United States of America.
Announcing this at the Night of Tribute for the late banker Dangote described Herbert as a loyal friend, a pillar of support for him and his family visionary role model with courage second to none.
Dangote said that he was proud to name him (Wigwe) my devoted friend, mentee, and supporter. “I will forever cherish the warmth of his friendship”, Dangote said.
