The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has been impeached.
RAYOPOST gathered that the speaker was removed by his colleagues for alleged gross misconduct and abuse of office.
The lawmaker representing Apapa constituency 1, Hon Mojisola Meranda has been elected as the new speaker.
Obasa, 52, was first elected Speaker on June 8, 2015 and had since retained the position until his Impeachment on Monday.
