AFCON FINAL : Ekiti Govt Issues Advisory To Citizens

As the citizens prepares to watch the today’s final of the African Cup of Nations, the Ekiti state government has issued health advisory.

 

The final expected to begin by 9pm Nigerian time is between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire.

 

Aftermath of the Nigeria’s victory at the Semi Final clash with South Africa, RAYOPOST gathered that no fewer than five persons lost their lives during the tension-soaked game.

 

The state government in a statement on Sunday by the commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Oyebanji Filani warned citizens with heart issues to stay away from watching the match.

 

The statement reads, ” The Ekiti State Ministry of Health and Human Services urges caution during the Nigeria vs Cote D’Ivoire final match this evening.

 

” While supporting the Super Eagles, be mindful of last week’s casualties and avoid watching live if you have heart issues.

” Ensure well-ventilated spaces, stay hydrated, keep emergency drugs nearby, maintain comfortable seating, and manage emotions during tense moments.

” For emergencies, visit the nearest health facility or call the state emergency number on *112*

“Stay safe, and best wishes to the Super Eagles.”
