A cybersecurity expert and prominent community leader, Olakunle Akinboyo, has congratulated Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his victory at the Supreme Court which on Tuesday upheld his election as the validly elected governor of Ondo State.
Akinboyo, in a statement personally signed, described the judgment as “a triumph of truth and the will of the people.” He noted that the verdict has not only reaffirmed the mandate freely given to Governor Aiyedatiwa at the polls but also strengthened public confidence in Nigeria’s judicial system.
He commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for sustaining developmental projects across all 18 local government areas of the state, stressing that the administration’s focus on people-oriented programmes, infrastructure renewal, and social welfare initiatives has been widely felt.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa has shown uncommon commitment to the progress of Ondo State. His attention to the welfare of citizens and his continuous drive for development clearly demonstrate that he is a leader with vision,” Akinboyo stated.
He also hailed the Governor’s legal team for their “tenacity, professionalism, and brilliance” throughout the judicial process, noting that their painstaking efforts ensured justice prevailed.
Akinboyo further called on the people of Ondo State, particularly those in Okitipupa Constituency One, to continue to rally behind the Governor with prayers and unwavering support.
“At this moment of victory, we must all remember that governance is a collective responsibility. I urge our people to stand firmly by the Governor and his team as they work tirelessly to deliver good governance to the state,” he added.
The Supreme Court’s decision has effectively ended months of legal tussle over the outcome of the November 2024 gubernatorial election, paving the way for Governor Aiyedatiwa to fully concentrate on the task of governance.
