A 34-year-old man identified as Dare has reportedly stabbed his wife Aarinola aged 32 to death over allegation of infidelity.
It was gathered that the incident happened on Friday at their residence located around Adebayo area of Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
A source who spoke on condition of anonymity said, ” they (couple) had misunderstanding as the husband alleged his wife of having extra marital affairs with one Isaac which resulted in a serious fight between them at home and in the process the husband stabbed her to death.”
The husband who was admitted at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital for treatment from injuries he sustained from the fight said, ”
” I slapped her over the issue of the affairs she is having with another man and she ran to the kitchen and brought knife to stab me on neck and stomach.
” In the pool of blood that I was,I overpowered her to defend myself and I collected the knife to stab her in chest and she died.”
As of the time of this report, the police authority are yet to respond to the incident.
